  • Astro Arugula: CERTIFIED ORGANIC! Astro organic arugula seeds produce a plant with leaves that are less lobed and more strap-like. It has a milder flavour than regular arugula. Astro is perfect for baby greens in early spring and fall - even in winter, as it's very cold hardy. Baby greens are ready to cut in only 21 days. Arugula is very well suited to micro-green growing. As micro-greens it is delicious and tender, strongly flavoured, but delicate on the palate. With a nutty, spicy taste that is sometimes pungent or peppery, arugula really perks up salads, sandwiches, and even pizza. It is very cold hardy, and has a milder flavour when grown in cool weather. High in Vitamin A and potassium. Matures in 30-40 days.(Open-pollinated seeds)

  • Palla Rossa Radicchio: This reliable radicchio forms a gorgeous, firm, round, dark-red and white head which appears like a jewel when you pull aside the tattered clump of outer wrapping leaves. With a unique and tangy taste, it adds flavour, colour, and crisp texture to salads. Palla Rossa Special Chicory Seeds can be planted for summer or fall harvest. Cut the heads at the soil level, and it may regrow. Winner of the RHS Award of Garden Merit. Matures in 85 days. (Open-pollinated seeds)

  • Lacinato Organic Kale: Sow Lacinato Organic kale seeds in the spring and early summer. A most elegant looking vegetable, the long, dark green leaves shoot from the central stem like ostrich plumes. A stunning addition to the ornamental vegetable garden, it grows 1m (3') tall with deeply blistered, strap-like leaves that are frost hardy, but tender when cooked. Lacinato is often referred to as Dinosaur Kale due to its large size and distinctive, prehistoric look. It is an heirloom descendent of Mediterranean kale.   • Buttercrunch Lettuce: We love the flavour and delicate texture of the leaves for lettuce wraps! Buttercrunch butterhead lettuce seeds are a Bibb type lettuce that forms a tight little rosette of soft, dark-green, upward-facing leaves surrounding a tender, pale centre. The small hearts don't become bitter in hot weather. Later plantings stand well into fall and make good growth in spring cold frames. Buttercrunch lettuce is a good candidate for growing all winter if you can provide cloche or greenhouse protection, or even a simple cold frame. Sow some extra early indoors in February for transplanting to the cold frame in March. Matures in 67 days. (Open-pollinated seeds)

  • COMING SOON Pak Choi: Brassica oleraceae var. chinensis. Also known as Shanghai Pac Choi, this is a beautiful little vase-shaped plant. This early baby pac choi is mild and tender with medium-green leaves on pale-green, spoon-shaped stalks (petioles). Bred to be tolerant to heat, rain, cold, and dampness. Ching Chiang Shanghai pac choi seeds are a great variety for early spring planting under cover and for late summer plantings in mild-winter areas. Harvest when 15cm (6") tall. Matures in 45 days. (Open-pollinated seeds)

  • Celebration Swiss Chard: Grow this gorgeous chard for fantastic colour! Celebration Swiss chard produces thick red, yellow, rose, gold, and white stems that bear slightly savoyed leaves of burgundy and green. Celebration Swiss chard seeds can be planted in large containers and always makes vivid colour on your table. The colours are richest at full maturity, so give it some time to deliver the rainbow effect. The immature leaves are tender and excellent in salads, while the cooked mature leaves and stalks have a flavour that is milder than cooked spinach, and packed with nutrients. Matures in 60 days. (Open-pollinated seeds)
