♡ about the shop

our cute shop :)

Pictus Goods is an eco-conscious flower + gift boutique located in Toronto's Junction Triangle neighbourhood!

The shop is full of lovely gifts -- majority are handmade locally by female makers. Everything we carry in the shop is truly unique! Loads of ceramics, candles, cookbooks, greeting cards, home decor, delicious treats -- and soooo much more!!!!

We believe that conscious consumerism should apply when purchasing flowers, which is why we bring an eco-conscious approach to floral design! We do not use floral foam in our arrangements and avoid the use of single-use plastics as best we can. In terms of our design style, our arrangements are unstructured, bloom heavy and are designed to replicate flowers growing in a garden. With a mixture of local and imported blooms, each of our arrangements are thoughtfully composed!

Whether you come in and visit the shop directly or purchase flowers or gifts online, when you shop at Pictus, you can feel good about supporting a small and women-run business.

jaz

founder + owner

Hello, I'm Jaz, the proud owner of Pictus Goods! I opened the retail shop in 2020, after working full time as a florist and operating "pictus apothecary" out of my kitchen! A passionate advocate for creativity and local businesses, I take pride in supporting small, female-run ventures. Curating specialty goods and promoting women makers at Pictus Goods has been a fulfilling journey that combines my business ambitions, passions, and creativity.

Growing up surrounded by flowers in my Nonna's beautiful garden, I developed a love for floral design. After exploring Fashion Merchandising in post-secondary, I realized my true passion lay in the hands-on, creative aspects of design. After my time in school -- which was short-lived -- I immersed myself in a hands-on learning experience within the floral industry. I took courses and worked as a florist at prestigious studios in Toronto, almost a decade ago. Wow! Through this time I was able to expand my skills and knowledge, having the opportunity to work alongside inspiring creatives.

Pictus Goods has now been operating since 2019 (wow!!!) and I am SO proud of what it has become.

Beyond the shop, you'll find me cuddling with my two adorable cats, practicing hot yoga -- and currently enrolled in yoga teacher training, indulging in culinary adventures, thrift shopping, supporting local designers and enjoying a cortado at a local coffee shop.

Your support means the world to me!
